Draupadī’s Grief at Seeing the Heroes in Disguise (द्रौपदी-विषादः / वेष-परिभव-वर्णनम्)
यन्मां दासीप्रवादेन प्रातिकामी तदानयत् | सभापरिषदो मध्ये तन््मां दहति भारत,दुर्योधनके सेवकके रूपमें दुःशासन मुझे दासी कहकर जो उस समय कौरवोंके सभाभवनमें जनसमाजके भीतर घसीट ले गया, वह अपमानकी आग मुझे आजतक जला रही है
yan māṃ dāsī-pravādena prātikāmī tadānayat | sabhā-pariṣado madhye tan māṃ dahati bhārata ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: «¡Oh Bhārata!, aquella afrenta aún arde en mi interior: cuando Prātikāmī, con el pretexto de llamarme “sirvienta”, me arrastró entonces al centro de la asamblea real. Esa humillación no ha dejado de abrasar mi corazón.»
