सरामं विह्नलं कृत्वा तेजश्चाक्षिप्प केवलम् | आगच्छज्ज्वलितो बाणो रामबाहुप्रचोदित:,श्रीरामचन्द्रजीकी भुजाओंसे प्रेरित हुआ वह प्रज्वलित बाण परशुरामजीको व्याकुल करके केवल उनके तेजको छीनकर पुन: लौट आया
sarāmaṁ vihvalaṁ kṛtvā tejaś cākṣipya kevalam | āgacchaj jvalito bāṇo rāma-bāhu-pracoditaḥ ||
La flecha llameante, impelida por el poderoso brazo de Rāma, golpeó a Paraśurāma con tal fuerza que lo dejó sacudido y sobrecogido; pero no le arrebató la vida—solo le fue retirada su gloria marcial y su potencia. Cumplido ese acto medido, la flecha regresó. El episodio subraya la contención en el uso del poder: se vence sin destrucción innecesaria, y la fuerza superior se ejerce dentro de límites éticos.
