अगस्त्यस्य वित्तयाचनं तथा इल्वलोपभिक्षणनिर्णयः

ततः प्रसवसंतानं चिन्तयन् भगवानृषि: । आत्मन: प्रसवस्यार्थे नापश्यत् सदृशीं स्त्रियम्,तब भगवान् महर्षि अगस्त्यने संतानोत्पादनकी चिन्ता करते हुए अपने अनुरूप संतानको गर्भमें धारण करनेके लिये योग्य पत्नीका अनुसंधान किया, परंतु उन्हें कोई योग्य स्त्री दिखायी नहीं दी
tataḥ prasava-santānaṁ cintayan bhagavān ṛṣiḥ | ātmanaḥ prasavasyārthe nāpaśyat sadṛśīṁ striyam ||
Luego el sabio bendito, meditando en la procreación y en la continuidad de su linaje, buscó una esposa digna de concebir un hijo a su altura; pero no halló mujer alguna que fuese igual y adecuada para tal fin.
