Educational Q&A

The verse praises a yajña characterized by inclusive nourishment: the ethical excellence of a rite is shown not merely by formal performance but by sustaining people with good food and drink, accompanied by auspicious, truth-aligned speech that spreads merit.

Śamaṭha describes a sacrificial setting where people repeatedly sing a shared refrain celebrating that illustrious persons from many regions are being satisfied with fine provisions; the sound of this praise is portrayed as pervading earth, the directions, heaven, and the sky, emphasizing the wonder and renown of the event.
