अध्याय ९० — लोमशोपदेशः तथा तीर्थयात्रानिश्चयः
Lomaśa’s Counsel and the Resolve for Pilgrimage
यजमानस्य वै देवाञज्जमदग्नेर्महात्मन: । आगम्य सरितो विप्रान् मधुना समतर्पयन्,“महात्मा जमदग्नि जब यज्ञद्वारा देवताओंका यजन कर रहे थे, उस समय उनके यज्ञमें सरिताओंने आकर मधुसे ब्राह्मणोंको तृप्त किया”
yajamānasya vai devān jamadagner mahātmanaḥ | āgamya sarito viprān madhunā samatarpayan ||
Cuando el magnánimo Jamadagni celebraba el sacrificio, rindiendo culto a los dioses, las deidades de los ríos acudieron allí y, con miel, saciaron a los brahmanes presentes en el rito.
धौम्य उवाच
The verse highlights that righteous sacrifice and proper honoring of brahmins (through nourishment and respect) are dharmic acts so potent that even nature and divine powers are depicted as cooperating to uphold the ritual order.
Dhaumya recounts that while Jamadagni was conducting a yajña to worship the gods, the personified rivers arrived and provided honey, thereby satisfying the brahmins participating in or attending the sacrifice.
