ततो मचक्रुकं नाम द्वारपालं महाबलम् | यक्षं समभिवाद्यैव गोसहस्रफलं लभेत्,तदनन्तर, वहाँ मचक्कुक नामवाले द्वारपाल महाबली यक्षको नमस्कार करनेमात्रसे सहस्र गोदानका फल मिल जाता है
tato macakrukaṃ nāma dvārapālaṃ mahābalam | yakṣaṃ samabhivādyaiva gosahasraphalaṃ labhet |
Entonces, con solo saludar con reverencia al poderoso Yakṣa guardián de la puerta llamado Macakruka, se obtiene un mérito igual al de mil dones de vacas.
घुलस्त्य उवाच
Respectful salutation offered to a worthy guardian is itself a dharmic act that yields great merit; inner humility and proper reverence are presented as powerful sources of puṇya, comparable to major charitable gifts.
