Pulastya’s Instruction
तद् दृष्टवा व्रीडितो राजन् स मुनि: पादयोर्गत: । नान्यद् देवात् परं मेने रुद्रात् परतरं महत्,महाराज! यह अद्भुत बात देखकर मुनि लज्जित हो महादेवजीके चरणोंमें पड़ गये और उन्होंने दूसरे किसी देवताको महादेवजीसे बढ़कर नहीं माननेका निश्चय किया
tad dṛṣṭvā vrīḍito rājan sa muniḥ pādayor gataḥ | nānyad devāt paraṃ mene rudrāt parataraṃ mahat ||
Oh rey, al ver aquel prodigio, el sabio se sintió avergonzado y cayó a los pies de Mahādeva. Desde entonces quedó firmemente convencido de que no hay deidad más alta que Rudra, el gran Señor.
घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse highlights humility born from realization: when confronted with the divine, the sage abandons ego and acknowledges a higher spiritual truth, expressing devotion through surrender at the Lord’s feet.
After witnessing an extraordinary occurrence, the sage feels ashamed, prostrates at Mahādeva’s feet, and resolves that no deity surpasses Rudra in greatness.
