ततो5भिवादयामास प्रयत: श्वशुरं नल: । ततो<5नु दमयन्ती च ववन्दे पितरं शुभा,स्नानादिसे पवित्र हुए राजा नलने विनीतभावसे श्वशुरको प्रणाम किया। तत्पश्चात् शुभलक्षणा दमयन्तीने भी पिताकी वन्दना की
tato ’bhivādayāmāsa prayataḥ śvaśuraṃ nalaḥ | tato ’nu damayantī ca vavande pitaraṃ śubhā ||
Entonces Nala, sereno y dueño de sí, saludó y rindió homenaje con respeto a su suegro. Tras él, la auspiciosa Damayantī también se inclinó en reverencia ante su propio padre.
