Transliteration

grāmān bahūn atikramya nādhyagacchad yathā-tatham | alpa-kārya vinirdiṣṭaṃ tasyāgamanakāraṇam ||

Translation

Dijo Bṛhadaśva: «Tras pasar por muchas aldeas, no pudo averiguar el asunto con claridad, tal como era en verdad. Aunque la tarea que declaró parecía pequeña y ordinaria, la razón real de su venida no podía conocerse con certeza».
