तच्छुत्वा वचन तस्य सुदेवस्य विशाम्पते | सुनन्दा शोधयामास पिप्लुप्रच्छादनं मलम्,युधिष्ठिर! सुदेवका यह वचन सुनकर सुनन्दाने दमयन्तीके ललाटवर्ती चिह्नको ढँकनेवाली मैल धो दी
tac chrutvā vacanaṁ tasya sudevasya viśāmpate | sunandā śodhayāmāsa piplupra-cchādanaṁ malam, yudhiṣṭhira |
Oh señor de los pueblos, al oír las palabras de Sudeva, Sunandā se dispuso a limpiar la mugre que ocultaba la marca de la frente, para que la verdadera identidad y dignidad no permanecieran ya escondidas.
युदेव उवाच
Attentive listening and compassionate action can restore what is obscured—purity here signifies not only physical cleanliness but also the recovery of dignity and recognizable identity.
After hearing Sudeva’s words, Sunandā cleans away the dirt that was covering the identifying mark on the forehead, making the concealed sign visible again.
