Sudeva Identifies Damayantī in Cedi (सुदेवेन दमयन्ती-परिचयः)
अनुजममुस्तत्र बाला ग्रामिपुत्रा: कुतूहलात् । सा तैः परिवृतागच्छत् समीपं राजवेश्मन:,पुरवासियोंने उसे उन्मत्ताकी भाँति जाते देखा। चेदिनरेशकी राजधानीमें उसे प्रवेश करते देख उस समय बहुत-से ग्रामीण बालक कौतूहलवश उसके साथ हो लिये थे। उनसे घिरी हुई दमयन्ती राजमहलके समीप गयी
anujamam uṣṭatra bālā grāmiputrāḥ kutūhalāt | sā taiḥ parivṛtāgacchat samīpaṁ rājaveśmanaḥ |
Dijo Bṛhadaśva: Por pura curiosidad, muchos muchachos de aldea la siguieron por detrás. Rodeada por ellos, Damayantī—tenida por los citadinos como si estuviera fuera de sí—continuó avanzando y se acercó al palacio real en la ciudad del rey de Cedi.
