Sudeva Identifies Damayantī in Cedi (सुदेवेन दमयन्ती-परिचयः)
निहतोष्टाश्वबहुला: पदातिजनसंकुला: । भयादाधावमानाश्ष् परस्परहतास्तदा,उनके बहुत-से ऊँट और घोड़े मारे गये और उस समुदायमें बहुत-से पैदल लोग भी थे। वे सब लोग उस समय भयसे चारों ओर भागते हुए एक-दूसरेसे टकराकर चोट खा जाते थे। घोर आर्तनाद करते हुए सभी लोग धरतीपर गिरने लगे। कुछ लोग बड़े वेगसे वृक्षोंपर चढ़ते हुए नीचेकी विषम भूमियोंपर गिर पड़ते थे

Dijo Bṛhadaśva: Muchos camellos y caballos fueron muertos, y la hueste estaba atestada de infantes. Heridos por el miedo, huyeron en todas direcciones; en el tumulto se golpeaban unos a otros y quedaban maltrechos, y así, en aquel pánico, caían como si se hubiesen dado muerte entre sí.
