gateṣu pārthivendreṣu bhīmaḥ prīto mahāmanāḥ

The line highlights a moment of settled order: after rulers disperse, Bhīma is described as pleased and noble-minded, suggesting that right conduct and successful completion of a public or royal gathering brings inner satisfaction and steadiness.
Bṛhadaśva narrates that the assembled kings have left; in the aftermath, Bhīma is portrayed as delighted and magnanimous, setting the tone for what follows after the departure of the royal company.
