Mātali’s Arrival and Arjuna’s Ascent toward Amarāvatī (मातलिसंयुक्तरथागमनम् तथा इन्द्रलोकगमनारम्भः)
पाण्डुरेणातपत्रेण हेमदण्डेन चारुणा । दिव्यगन्धाधिवासेन व्यजनेन विधूयता,उनके मस्तकपर श्वेत छत्र तना हुआ था, जिसमें मनोहर स्वर्णमय दण्ड शोभा पा रहा था। उनके उभय पार्श्वमें दिव्य सुगन्धसे वासित चँवर डुलाये जा रहे थे
pāṇḍureṇātapatreṇa hemadaṇḍena cāruṇā | divyagandhādhivāsena vyajanena vidhūyatā ||
Dijo Vaiśaṃpāyana: Sobre su cabeza se alzaba un blanco parasol real, adornado con un hermoso asta de oro; y a ambos lados lo abanicaban con chamara de cola de yak, perfumadas con fragancia divina: señales de honor y soberanía legítima, servidas con orden y buen augurio.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical ideal of honoring rightful status through orderly service and auspicious royal insignia; such external marks (parasol, perfumed fans) signify social recognition of sovereignty and dignity when aligned with dharma.
