Śiva Grants the Pāśupata Astra (Pāśupata-Śastra Upadeśa) | शिवेन पाशुपतास्त्रदानम्

तथा लोकान्तकृच्छीमान्‌ यम: साक्षात्‌ प्रतापवान्‌ | मर्त्यमूर्तिधरै: सार्थ पितृभिलोॉकभावनै:,इसी प्रकार समस्त जगत्‌का अन्त करनेवाले श्रीमान्‌ प्रतापी यमराजने प्रत्यक्षरूपमें वहाँ दर्शन दिया। उनके साथ मानव-शरीरधारी विश्वभावन पितृगण भी थे

tathā lokāntakṛcchīmān yamaḥ sākṣāt pratāpavān | martyamūrtidharaiḥ sārthaṃ pitṛbhir lokabhāvanaiḥ ||

Entonces Yama en persona—glorioso, poderoso y portador del fin del mundo—apareció allí en forma visible. Lo acompañaban los Pitṛs, benéficos sustentadores de los mundos, que habían asumido cuerpos humanos.
