Bhīmasena’s Discourse on Kāla, Resolve, and the Feasibility of Ajñātavāsa (भीमसेनस्य कालोपदेशः)
Sound ethical guidance should be delivered thoughtfully: in an appropriate setting (privacy when needed) and with reasoning that is fitting and well-grounded, so that counsel becomes effective rather than merely authoritative.
Vyāsa takes Yudhiṣṭhira to a secluded place and begins to speak to him. The verse functions as a narrative hinge introducing a confidential, reasoned instruction that follows.
