पास्यामि तावत् पानीयमिति पार्थो वृकोदर: । ततो<भ्यधावत् पानीयं पिपासु: पुरुषर्षभ:
pāsyāmi tāvat pānīyam iti pārtho vṛkodaraḥ | tato 'bhyadhāvat pānīyaṃ pipāsuḥ puruṣarṣabhaḥ ||
«Primero buscaré agua», dijo Pārtha (Arjuna) a Vṛkodara (Bhīma). Entonces aquel toro entre los hombres, acosado por la sed, se precipitó hacia el agua, poniendo en marcha la prueba moral que pronto exigirá contención, reverencia y obediencia al consejo legítimo, y no el impulso de la necesidad.
