नाधर्मश्चरित: कश्चित्‌ त्वया भवति भाविनि । अधर्म कुत एवाहं वरेयं लोककाम्यया,कुन्ती! मेरे साथ समागम करनेसे तुम्हारे द्वारा कोई अधर्म नहीं बन रहा है। भला! मैं लौकिक कामवासनाके वशीभूत होकर अधर्मका वरण कैसे कर सकता हूँ?

Transliteration

nādharmas caritaḥ kaścit tvayā bhavati bhāvini | adharma kuta evāhaṃ vareyaṃ lokakāmyayā, kuntī ||

Translation

Sūrya dijo: «Oh noble señora, ningún acto de injusticia (adharma) recae sobre ti en esto. ¿Y cómo podría yo, siendo el Sol, escoger el adharma por mero deseo mundano? ¡Oh Kuntī!»
