गमिष्याम्यनवद्याद्धि लोके समवहास्यताम् | सर्वेषां विबुधानां च वक्तव्य: स्यां तथा शुभे,निर्दोष अंगोंवाली सुन्दरी! तुमने मन्त्रद्वारा मेरा आवाहन किया है; इस दशामें उस आवाहनको व्यर्थ करके तुमसे मिले बिना ही लौट जाना मेरे लिये उचित न होगा। भीरु! यदि मैं इसी तरह लौटूँगा तो जगत्में मेरा उपहास होगा। शुभे! सम्पूर्ण देवताओंकी दृष्टिमें भी मुझे निन्दनीय बनना पड़ेगा
gamiṣyāmy anavadyāddhi loke samavahāsyatām | sarveṣāṁ vibudhānāṁ ca vaktavyaḥ syāṁ tathā śubhe ||
¡Oh, tú, la intachable, la auspiciosa! No partiré de un modo que me haga objeto de burla en el mundo. Si regresara así, aun entre todos los dioses se hablaría de mí con reproche.
