ततः संवत्सरे पूर्णो यदासौ जपतां वर: । नापश्यद्‌ दुष्कृतं किंचित्‌ पृथाया: सौहृदे रत:

Transliteration

tataḥ saṃvatsare pūrṇe yadāsau japatāṃ varaḥ | nāpaśyad duṣkṛtaṃ kiṃcit pṛthāyāḥ sauhṛde rataḥ ||

Translation

Entonces, cuando hubo transcurrido un año entero, aquel que era el primero entre los entregados a la recitación y a la plegaria—inclinado a la amistad y a la benevolencia hacia Pṛthā (Kuntī)—no halló en ella la más mínima falta ni mala acción.
