Steadiness of mind arises when one accepts guidance rooted in satya (truth) and tapas (discipline). Trustworthy counsel, offered by ethically grounded people, can restore clarity and firmness in moments of uncertainty.
After being fully reassured by truth-speaking ascetics, the person being addressed regains composure; he duly regards each sage and accepts their words, becoming steady again.
