गौतम उवाच वेदा: साड़्ा मयाधीतास्तपो मे संचितं महत् | कौमारब्रह्मचर्य च गुरवो3ग्निश्व तोषिता:
gautama uvāca | vedāḥ sāṅgā mayādhītās tapo me sañcitaṃ mahat | kaumāra-brahmacaryaṃ ca guravo 'gniś ca toṣitāḥ ||
Gautama dijo: «He estudiado los Vedas junto con sus disciplinas auxiliares, y he acumulado una gran austeridad. También he observado el brahmacarya desde la juventud, y he complacido debidamente a mis maestros y al fuego sagrado.»
