Sāvitrī’s Dialogue with Yama and the Restoration of Satyavān
Even in distress, one should hold to dharma and inner steadiness; compassionate, truthful counsel (sāntvana) can sustain the afflicted and reinforce moral resolve.
This line is a colophon: it formally closes a chapter of the Rāmopākhyāna within the Vana Parva, specifically the episode describing Trijaṭā’s consoling words to Sītā, as recounted by Mārkaṇḍeya.
