Sāvitrī’s Trirātra-Vrata and Departure with Satyavān (सावित्रीव्रतनिश्चयः सहगमनं च)
एतावच्छक्यमस्माभिर््वक्तुं द्रष्टासि जानकीम् । ध्रुवं वानरराजस्य विदितो रावणालय:,“मैं तो इतना ही कह सकता हूँ कि आपकी जनकनन्दिनी सीतासे अवश्य भेंट होगी। वानरराज सुग्रीवको रावणके घरका पता निश्चय ही ज्ञात है”
etāvac chakyam asmābhir vaktuṁ draṣṭāsi jānakīm | dhruvaṁ vānararājasya vidito rāvaṇālayaḥ ||
«Solo esto puedo decir: sin falta te encontrarás con Janakī, Sītā, hija de Janaka. Y es seguro que el rey de los monos conoce el paradero de la morada de Rāvaṇa».
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Measured speech and truthful reassurance: the sage states only what is within his certainty, yet offers hope grounded in reliable knowledge—encouraging perseverance in a righteous quest.
Mārkaṇḍeya assures the listener that a meeting with Sītā will occur and indicates that Sugrīva, the monkey-king, certainly knows where Rāvaṇa’s residence is—pointing to the practical means by which the search will succeed.
