Indrajit’s Binding, Restoration by Viśalyā, and Counsel Restraining Rāvaṇa (Āraṇyaka Parva 273)
The colophon signals the moral arc of the episode: adharma—here, the violation of a protected woman’s dignity—culminates in defeat and fearful retreat, while righteous resistance and protection of the wronged are affirmed as dharmic duties.
This is the closing notice of the chapter that treats Jayadratha’s flight in the Draupadī-abduction episode within the Vana Parva; it formally concludes that chapter in the Gītā Press-style framing.
