तदनन्तर वह उठनेकी चेष्टा करने लगा। तब कुन्तीकुमार वृकोदरने उसे बाँधकर रथपर डाल दिया। वह बेचारा धूलसे लथपथ और अचेत हो रहा था ।। ततस्तं रथमास्थाय भीम: पार्थानुगस्तदा । अभ्येत्याश्रममध्यस्थमभ्यगच्छद् युधिष्ठिरम्,उसे रथपर चढ़ाकर आगे-आगे भीम चले और पीछे-पीछे अर्जुन। आश्रमपर आकर भीमसेन वहाँ मध्यभागमें बैठे हुए राजा युधिष्ठिरके पास गये
tad-anantaraṃ sa utthāne ceṣṭāṃ kartum ārabdhavān | tataḥ kuntī-kumāraḥ vṛkodaro taṃ baddhvā ratha-pari nyadhāt | sa dhūli-liptaḥ kṛcchraṃ mūrcchita iva babhūva || tataḥ taṃ ratham āsthāya bhīmaḥ pārthānugaḥ tadā | abhyetya āśrama-madhya-stham abhyagacchad yudhiṣṭhiram ||
Después, aquel hombre intentó incorporarse. Entonces Bhīma —Vṛkodara, hijo de Kuntī— lo ató y lo puso sobre el carro. El desdichado, embadurnado de polvo, se iba hundiendo en la inconsciencia. Subiendo a aquel carro, Bhīma avanzó primero y Arjuna lo siguió detrás; y al llegar al āśrama se acercó al rey Yudhiṣṭhira, que estaba sentado en la parte central del retiro.
