The verse foregrounds atithi-dharma (the duty of hospitality): a righteous king is characterized by honoring guests, offering rest and care (even to their mounts), and creating a moral atmosphere where visitors feel respected and safe.
The speaker instructs arriving visitors to dismount and unharness their mounts to rest, assuring them that Yudhiṣṭhira—renowned for loving and honoring guests—will be delighted to see them after they have been properly received.
