रावण–मारीचसंवादः तथा मृगप्रलोभनपूर्वकं सीताहरणोपक्रमः
Rāvaṇa–Mārīca Dialogue and the Decoy-Deer Prelude to Sītā’s Abduction
तस्मात् त्वमपि कौन्तेय न शोकं कर्तुमहसि । राज्यात् स्फीतात् परिगभ्रष्टसतपसा तदवाप्स्यसि,कुन्तीनन्दन! इसलिये तुम भी समृद्धिशाली राज्यसे भ्रष्ट होनेके कारण शोक न करो; तपस्याद्वारा तुम उसे प्राप्त कर लोगे
tasmāt tvam api kaunteya na śokaṃ kartum arhasi | rājyāt sphītāt paribhraṣṭas tapasa tad avāpsyasi, kuntīnandana ||
Por eso, oh hijo de Kuntī, no debes entregarte al duelo. Aunque hayas sido apartado de un reino próspero, lo recobrarás mediante la austeridad (tapas) y el esfuerzo disciplinado.
