Draupadī’s Identification of the Pāṇḍavas and the Onset of the Chariot Engagement
The verse highlights decisive action and steadfast loyalty within political alliances: once a leader’s intent is expressed, an ally like Karṇa responds by organizing practical means—showing how resolve must be matched by execution, though the ethical value depends on the cause being served.
After Duryodhana (Dhārtarāṣṭra) speaks to him, Karṇa immediately commands that all necessary arrangements for the forthcoming journey be made; the narrator’s address to Janamejaya frames this as part of the ongoing account.
