Vyāsa’s Consolation to Yudhiṣṭhira: Tapas, Kāla, and the Difficulty of Dāna (दान-तपस्-विवेकः)
आयुधानि च दिव्यानि विविधानि समादधु: । ते दंशिता रथै: सर्वे ध्वजिन: सशरासना:
āyudhāni ca divyāni vividhāni samādadhuḥ | te daṃśitā rathaiḥ sarve dhvajinaḥ saśarāsanāḥ ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Tomaron diversas armas divinas. Y todos ellos, ya pertrechados, montaron en sus carros—con estandartes alzados y con arcos y flechas—, dispuestos para el deber que les aguardaba.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined readiness: when a righteous task or peril approaches, one should be properly equipped and organized, not reckless—strength and resources are to be gathered with responsibility.
