अजेयस्त्वं रणेडरीणामुमापतिरिव प्रभु: । एतत् ते प्रथमं देव ख्यातं कर्म भविष्यति
ajeyas tvaṁ raṇe 'rīṇām umāpatir iva prabhuḥ | etat te prathamaṁ deva khyātaṁ karma bhaviṣyati ||
Mārkaṇḍeya dijo: «En la batalla eres invencible para tus enemigos, soberano como el Señor de Umā (Śiva). Esto, oh ser divino, será tu primera hazaña célebre».
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
The verse frames heroic excellence as steadfast invincibility in righteous struggle, and links true sovereignty with restraint and divine-like mastery; fame is presented as the natural consequence of exemplary action.
Mārkaṇḍeya addresses a divine or exalted figure, praising him as unbeatable in battle and comparing his lordship to Śiva’s, while predicting that a particular forthcoming act will become his first widely celebrated exploit.
