When a person becomes firmly established in sattva and gains true discernment, worldly conventions no longer cause inner distress; on realizing the highest knowable truth, one naturally develops dispassion and even aversion toward merely mundane pursuits.
In the Vyādha’s instruction, he explains the inner transformation that follows awakening: the enlightened, sattva-dominant person sees through ordinary social behavior (lokavṛtta) and turns away from it after realizing what is truly worth knowing.
