अग्निवंशवर्णनम् (Agni-vaṃśa-varṇana) / The Genealogy and Function of Agni
एते पञ्चदश ब्रह्मन् गुणा भूतेषु पजचसु । वर्तन्ते सर्वभूतेषु येषु लोका: प्रतिछ्ठिता:,ब्रह्मन! इस प्रकार पाँचों भूतोंमें ये पंद्रह गुण बताये गये हैं। इन्हींमें सम्पूर्ण लोक प्रतिष्ठित हैं
ete pañcadaśa brahman guṇā bhūteṣu pañcasu | vartante sarvabhūteṣu yeṣu lokāḥ pratiṣṭhitāḥ ||
El cazador dijo: «Oh brahmán, estas quince cualidades se hallan en los cinco grandes elementos. Actúan en todos los seres; sobre ellas están establecidos los mundos mismos». En su contexto, la enseñanza apunta a una visión ética de la realidad: comprender la constitución elemental compartida por todas las criaturas sostiene la humildad, la contención y la no crueldad, pues las mismas cualidades fundamentales lo impregnan todo.
