Transliteration

mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | śṛṇu rājann idaṃ sarvaṃ yathāvṛttaṃ narādhipa | kathyamānaṃ mahāprājña vistareṇa yathātatham ||

Translation

Dijo Mārkaṇḍeya: «Oh rey, oh señor de los hombres, escucha. Te relataré el suceso entero tal como ocurrió. Oh sapientísimo, lo diré con amplitud y detalle, verazmente y tal cual es—así que atiende con cuidado».
