सूदयिष्यन्ति च पतीन् स्त्रिय: पुत्रानपाश्चिता: । अपर्वणि महाराज सूर्य राहुरुपैष्यति,नारियाँ अपने बेटोंसे मिलकर पतिकी हत्या करा देंगी। महाराज! अमावस्याके बिना ही राहु सूर्यपर ग्रहण लगायेगा
sūdayiṣyanti ca patīn striyaḥ putrān apāścitāḥ | aparvaṇi mahārāja sūryaṃ rāhur upaiṣyati ||
Dijo Mārkaṇḍeya: «Y las mujeres, faltas de discernimiento, llegarán incluso a hacer matar a sus maridos, obrando de consuno con sus hijos. ¡Oh gran rey! Rāhu acometerá contra el Sol y provocará un eclipse fuera de tiempo—sin el día lunar que corresponde».
