कृतयुगवर्णनम् तथा राजधर्मोपदेशः

सर्वतः सहसा भ्रान्तास्ते पयोदा नभस्तलम् । संवेष्टयित्वा नश्यन्ति वायुवेगपराहता:,तत्पश्चात् समस्त आकाशको घेरकर सब ओर फैले हुए वे मेघ वायुके प्रचण्ड वेगसे छिन्न-भिन्न होकर सहसा अदृश्य हो जाते हैं
sarvataḥ sahasā bhrāntās te payodā nabhastalam | saṃveṣṭayitvā naśyanti vāyuvegaparāhatāḥ ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: «Aquellas nubes, de pronto confundidas por doquier, envolvieron toda la extensión del cielo; pero, golpeadas y desgarradas por el ímpetu feroz del viento, desaparecieron con rapidez de la vista».
