Kṛtayuga Description and Instruction on Royal Dharma
ततः प्रविष्टस्तत्कुक्षिं सहसा मनुजाधिप । सराष्ट्रनगराकीर्णा कृत्स्नां पश्यामि मेदिनीम्
tataḥ praviṣṭas tatkukṣiṃ sahasā manujādhipa | sarāṣṭranagarākīrṇāṃ kṛtsnāṃ paśyāmi medinīm ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: «¡Oh señor de los hombres! En cuanto entré, me hallé de pronto dentro del vientre de aquel niño. Allí contemplé la tierra entera—completa en todas sus partes—colmadas de reinos y ciudades.»
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse evokes the idea that the vast world can be contained within what seems small, pointing to a cosmic order where the macrocosm is mirrored in the microcosm; it also underscores humility before realities that exceed ordinary perception.
The narrator reports entering a child’s belly and, within it, witnessing the whole earth populated with kingdoms and cities—an extraordinary, visionary experience narrated to a king.
