Markandeya’s Account of Yugas, Kali Signs, and Dissolution
The verse highlights ethical kingship: when success comes, a ruler should remain noble-minded and respond with gratitude and respect toward wise elders who offered praise, guidance, or support.
After the king’s position has been successfully established, he becomes joyful and, pleased, addresses the sage Atri—who had earlier spoken in his favor and praised him.
