Markandeya’s Account of Yugas, Kali Signs, and Dissolution
gamiṣyāmi mahāprājñe rocate me vacas tava | gāś ca me dāsyate vainyaḥ prabhūtaṃ cārthasañcayam ||
Dijo Mārkaṇḍeya: «Iré, oh gran sabio; tus palabras me complacen y me parecen justas.
Wise counsel should be accepted when it accords with dharma; righteous kings support sages through dāna—especially cows and wealth—strengthening social and ethical order.
Mārkaṇḍeya agrees to go as advised by the addressed sage, noting that King Pṛthu (Vainya) will honor him with generous gifts of cows and substantial wealth.
