Brāhmaṇa-māhātmya: Tārkṣya’s instruction on tapas, satya, and svadharma
Chapter 182
As a colophon, the verse itself does not add new instruction; it signals closure of the chapter situated in the Ājagara episode, whose broader ethical thrust emphasizes that peril can be overcome through discernment, self-control, and adherence to dharma rather than mere force.
This is the formal end-marker of the chapter: it identifies the text (Mahābhārata), the book (Vana Parva), the sub-episode (Ājagara-parvan), and the specific narrative focus (Bhīma’s release), concluding the chapter’s account.
