तदहं शरवर्षेण महता प्रत्यवारयम् शस्त्रवर्ष महद् राजन् विद्याबलमुपाश्रित:,राजन्! उस समय मैंने विद्या-बलका आश्रय लेकर महती बाण-वर्षके द्वारा उनके अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंकी भारी बौछारको रोका और युद्ध-भूमिमें रथके विभिन्न पैंतरे बदलकर विचरते हुए उन सबको मोहमें डाल दिया। वे ऐसे किंकर्तव्यविमूढ हो रहे थे कि आपसमें ही लड़कर एक-दूसरे दानवोंको धराशायी करने लगे
tad ahaṁ śaravarṣeṇa mahatā pratyavārayam śastravarṣaṁ mahad rājan vidyābalam upāśritaḥ
Entonces, oh Rey, apoyándome en la fuerza de mi ciencia marcial, contuve su gran lluvia de armas con una poderosa lluvia de flechas. Recorriendo el campo con diversas maniobras de mi carro, los sumí en confusión; tan desconcertados quedaron sobre qué hacer que empezaron a pelear entre sí y abatieron a sus propios aliados demoníacos.
