इन्द्रप्रशंसा, दिव्योपकरणदानं, गन्धमादनसमागमश्च

स्पर्थमाना इवास्माभिनिवातकवचा रणे | शरवर्ष: शरार्त मां महद्धि: प्रत्यवारयन्,निवातकवचोंने संग्राममें हमलोगोंसे होड़-सी लगा रखी थी। मैं बाणोंके आघातसे पीड़ित था, तो भी उन्होंने बड़ी भारी बाणवर्षा करके मेरी प्रगतिको रोकने-की चेष्टा की। तब मैंने अद्भुत और शीघ्रगामी बाणोंको ब्रह्मास्त्रसे अभिमन्त्रित करके चलाया और उनके द्वारा शीघ्र ही सैकड़ों तथा हजारों दानवोंका संहार करने लगा
spardhamānā ivāsmābhir nivātakavacā raṇe | śaravarṣaiḥ śarārtā māṁ mahaddhiḥ pratyavārayan ||
Dijo Arjuna: «En la batalla, los Nivātakavacas parecían rivalizar con nosotros como contendientes. Aunque yo sufría por los golpes de sus flechas, aquellos poderosos guerreros intentaron frenar mi avance derramando una copiosa lluvia de saetas. Entonces disparé flechas prodigiosas y veloces, consagradas con el Brahmāstra; y con ellas comencé a destruir con rapidez a cientos y miles de demonios».
