The verse highlights cosmic interdependence and regularity: Agni’s sustaining power is portrayed as operating with the Sun as support, and the Pāṇḍavas observe the Sun’s orderly rising and setting. Ethically, it suggests steadiness, reverence for sustaining forces, and trust in dharmic order even during exile.
Vaiśampāyana describes the Pāṇḍavas living in the forest and witnessing the daily cycle of sunrise and sunset. The narration frames their situation within a larger cosmic rhythm, noting Agni’s role in nourishing beings under the Sun’s support.
