Indra’s Meeting with the Pāṇḍavas
The verse praises strength governed by purpose: martial power is celebrated when it removes destructive forces (Dānavas) and supports righteous order, symbolized by the comparison to Indra, the protector of the gods.
After defeating the Dānavas in battle, Bhīma stands on the battlefield holding mace, sword, and bow, and he is described as shining like Indra (Maghavān) because of his victorious, commanding presence.
