Bhīma’s Entry into Kubera’s Nalinī and the Taking of Saugandhika Lotuses (सौगन्धिकोत्पल-ग्रहणम्)
सनाथा: पाण्डवा: सर्वे त्वया नाथेन वीर्यवन् । तवैव तेजसा सर्वान् विजेष्यामो वयं परान्,'शक्तिशाली वीर! आप-जैसे नाथ (संरक्षक) को पाकर सब पाण्डव सनाथ हो गये। आपके ही प्रभावसे हमलोग अपने सब शत्रुओंको जीत लेंगे”
sanāthāḥ pāṇḍavāḥ sarve tvayā nāthena vīryavan | tavaiva tejasā sarvān vijeṣyāmo vayaṃ parān ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: «Oh héroe poderoso, teniéndote a ti por protector, todos los Pāṇḍava han quedado amparados y seguros. Por la fuerza de tu propio esplendor, venceremos a todos nuestros enemigos».
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical and practical importance of rightful protection and leadership: when a just and powerful guardian stands with a vulnerable party, their morale and capacity to uphold their cause are strengthened, making victory over adversaries more attainable.
In Vaiśampāyana’s narration, the Pāṇḍavas (or their side) express renewed security and confidence because a mighty protector has aligned with them; they declare that through his tejas (splendor/power) they will be able to defeat their enemies.
