वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights impermanence and vulnerability: even strong trees fall when struck by powerful forces. Ethically, it suggests cultivating steadiness and humility, recognizing that external upheavals can overwhelm worldly strength.
A violent windstorm is being described. Throughout the night, trees and other vegetation are broken and fall to the ground, producing a loud, frightening sound.
