अम्बरीषश्व नाभाग इष्टवान् यमुनामनु । यत्रेष्टवा दश पद्मानि सदस्येभ्योडभिसृष्टवान्
Ambarīṣaś ca Nābhāga iṣṭavān Yamunām anu | yatreṣṭvā daśa padmāni sadasyebhyo 'bhisṛṣṭavān ||
Dijo Lomaśa: “Ambarīṣa y Nābhāga celebraron un sacrificio a orillas del Yamunā. Allí, tras consumar el rito, distribuyó diez dones, como lotos, entre los oficiantes y los participantes reunidos.”
लोगश उवाच
The verse underscores that yajña is ethically completed through proper generosity—distributing auspicious gifts (dakṣiṇā) to the assembled officiants and participants—linking ritual performance with social responsibility and dharmic giving.
Lomaśa recounts an example from sacred history: Ambarīṣa and Nābhāga perform a sacrifice on the banks of the Yamunā, and upon completion, gifts described as ‘ten lotuses’ are distributed to the members of the sacrificial assembly.
