The Birth and Career Account of Māndhātṛ
पिपासितेन या: पीता विधिमन्त्रपुरस्कृता: । आपस्त्वया महाराज मत्तपोवीर्यसम्भूता:
pipāsitena yāḥ pītā vidhimantrapuraskṛtāḥ | āpastvayā mahārāja mattapovīryasambhūtāḥ ||
Dijo Lomaśa: «Oh gran rey, las aguas que bebiste cuando estabas abrasado por la sed—después de que se cumplieran debidamente el rito y los mantras sagrados—eran aguas surgidas del poder de mi austeridad (tapas). Por ello no eran ordinarias: nacieron de la potencia ascética y debían ser tratadas con reverencia y contención.»
