Gaya’s Seven Aśvamedhas, Payoṣṇī Snāna, and the Śaryāti Sacrifice Locale

Lomaśa–Yudhiṣṭhira Dialogue

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights that reverence for the divine is expressed through dharmic action—well-performed sacrifices accompanied by generosity (dakṣiṇā). Even exalted beings model this disciplined, giving-oriented worship.

The speaker points to precedent: in this very realm, the gods with Indra and the Prajāpatis have performed many grand sacrifices with abundant gifts to worship the Lord, establishing an authoritative example for proper religious conduct.
