As a colophon, the passage does not teach through direct instruction; it frames the text within the dharmic practice of tīrtha-yātrā (pilgrimage), emphasizing continuity of tradition, remembrance of sacred narratives, and the ethical value of orienting one’s life around holy places and exemplary histories.
This line marks the completion of the chapter: within Vana Parva’s pilgrimage section, in the context of Lomasa’s pilgrimage narration, a chapter dealing with the Yādavas’ journey/departure has concluded.
